Show Kicks off Z103.5 FM’s “Official 103 Days of Summer” at Downsview Park.

For Immediate Release: April 25, 2008.
3rd Annual Beer & Cocktail Show has officially teamed up with Toronto’s own HI music station, Z103.5 FM.
A media sponsor last year, Z103.5 FM has expanded their involvement as this year’s title sponsor for the event.

Building on the overwhelming success of last year’s show at the Distillery District, the Beer and Cocktail Show is
moving on up to Toronto’s largest, sustainable urban park, Downsview Park.

“Last year, our attendance grew by over 300%...we had to turn away over 2000 people away at our previous location
due to capacity issues. Downsview Park, with over 70, 000 sq. ft. of multipurpose facility, is a perfect fit for the Show ‘,
said Brandon Junkin, Director of the Beer and Cocktail Show. " Z103.5 teaming up with the Beer and Cocktail Show,
will bring Toronto one of the most memorable events of the year", added Clayton Walters, Sales Manager of Z103.5.

Kicking off on May 16th, the Show will feature 3 days of events, with several live-to- air shows broadcast from
The Beer & Cocktail Show on Friday May 16th.

Z103.5 FM will begin on-air promotion of the Beer and Cocktail Show beginning Monday, April 28, 2007.
Further details regarding the events at the 3rd Annual Beer & Cocktail Show will be announced on Wed, April 30th.

MAY 12-th, 2008:

Alcohol and High Blood Pressure

1.Light or moderate drinking is considered heart healthy because it raises HDL (“goog”) coholestorol and makes blood less likely to form artery clogging clots. One drink a day for women, 2 drinks a day for men is considered safe.

However
Heavy drinking will increase blood pressure and raise your stroke risk by as much as 69%.

2.A recent Florida University study found that older adults who have one alcoholic beverage a day were 30% less likely to develop heart disease. Another study of cardiac patients hospitalized after heart attacks found that study participants who average 2 drinks a day were 32 percent less likely to experience fatal heart attacks.

3. Studies suggest that most people enjoy health benefits from sipping any form of alcohol. The Harvard school for public health asked more than 38,000 men about their drinking habits, then checked up on them 12 years later. Men who had up to two drinks per day were 37 percent less likely to have had heart attacks then men who rarely or never indulged.

4.Red Wine - How much is enough
One to two 125 ml (4 ounce) glasses of wine (one for women two for men)
Whether drinking or cooking select wine that you enjoy. Avoid cheap wine loaded with sodium.

5. One French study showed that drinking three 125 ml (4 ounce) glass of wine per day reduced the risk of Alzheimer’s disease by a whopping 75%.
